Information we collect
Information you give us
When you sign up as a merchant or plaza owner, fill out our contact forms, or otherwise interact with our service, we collect:
- Your name and contact details (email, phone)
- Your business information (company name, plaza, role)
- Information you choose to share (questions, notes, preferences)
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website or use Virtual Billboard, we automatically collect:
- Standard log information (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, time spent)
- Device information (mobile device type, operating system)
- Approximate location based on your IP address
- Information about how you interact with our content (clicks, searches, the AI Concierge)
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the Virtual Billboard service to shoppers and merchants
- Improve our product based on how it's used
- Communicate with merchants and plaza owners about their accounts
- Help merchants understand which shoppers are interacting with their listings (in aggregate, never individually identified)
- Comply with legal obligations
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We share information only with:
- Service providers helping us operate (e.g., Stripe for billing, GoHighLevel for CRM, Resend for email — all under contractual data protection obligations)
- When required by law (court order, valid government request)
- In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, in which case affected users will be notified
Your choices
You can:
- Update or correct your account information at any time
- Request a copy of the information we hold about you
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out of marketing communications (each email contains an unsubscribe link)
- Disable location services on your device to limit location-based information collection

Data security
We protect your information using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS for all transmitted data) and access controls. We use reputable service providers (Supabase for data storage, Stripe for payment processing) that maintain SOC 2 compliance. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data protected.
Children's privacy
Virtual Billboard is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn we've collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the policy tells you when the latest version took effect. Material changes will be communicated to merchants and plaza owners with active accounts.
